PLANT TAGS
These terracotta plant tags are a simple, stylish DIY for labeling your garden, planters, or indoor plants. Made with air-dry clay and 3D stamps, you can emboss any plant name you like to create durable, long-lasting garden markers that stand up to sunshine, rain, and everyday use.
I made these terracotta plant tags for my biggest DIY project yet, a Mediterranean garden made from concrete blocks. I wanted a simple way to keep track of all my little seedlings this spring, but I also had a couple of requirements: they needed to feel as elegant as the rest of my garden, and I needed something I could make quickly and affordably. These clay tags ticked all the boxes!
Once sealed, the clay is durable and weather-resistant, so they won’t rot like wooden tags and I love that I can keep adding to my collection as my garden grows.
I also adore the idea of turning them into little gifts for a gardening-loving friend. You can personalize them with all their favorite plants, maybe even tuck in some seeds, and just imagine the smile they’ll get when they open them. How cute would that be?
